30 Years Old!

The Magician himself Rafael Alvarez will be turning 30 years old tomorrow. We've had a pretty good year so far. Many ups and downs money wise but he's made a ton of progress. Not to spoil anything but it seems that we might have finally found a legitimate art gallery to finally display and sell our coveted Reflection series.

We've got some big plans for next year but I don't want to tell everyone just yet. Make sure you come back and look for new info on both this website and our TME Racing Photography website.

Photography Expectations

After spending last year battling it out with trying to find a sold niche in the local Photography business we finally came to a conclusion.

The plan for this year is to stay as far away from typical photo shoot as possible. Rafael Alvarez the owner and photographer for The Magician's Eye has a very unique look and feel to his photographs. This has set him apart from the rest of the Photographers in the state. Some of you may not care for his style while others love it a great deal. He's gained a great deal of attention in this past year with his work in the local music industry while still branching out into a new market and attracting national attention from his work shooting the local dirt track races.

With all this in mind we've came up with a plan for 2007. As of this date we will be very selective on whom we shoots with. The reason for this is to target a specific style that will help create that signature look for The Magician's Eye. What you see in our portfolio is what you can expect as far as style and emotion. If you want something different from what you see in our portfolio please feel free to ask but chances are we may refer you to another photographer that specializes in the style you're looking for.

If you've been looking for "pure", raw, not typically seen art photography then you've found the right web site. The Magician's Eye is based out of Phoenix, Arizona but originally launched in Portland Oregon. Rafael Alvarez has shot in a number of different avenues such as fine art, club scenes, sporting events, model portfolios, and all types of work in the music industry. After years spent chasing down clients he realized that he's best known for his art. All of his work tends to carry a very artistic feel and as a result has turned his focus on fine art photography. This will be the focus for the rest of 2007 and at least the first part of 2008. We plan on eventually showing Rafael's work across the country so please keep an eye out for The Magician's Eye.
